Thanks for that. I was hoping you would chime in as you seem to have specific knowledge of this breed. I was afraid you might say that too. I had noted the hackle feathers seemed cockerel-ish. They are Greenfire Farms birds, so they'd better be good specimens! They are appealing and charming birds.

Greenfire has good Spitzhauben stock. And these should be out of the new imports. So you'll have the improved bloodline.

Can these be feather sexed? I've just hatched a bunch of these babies (literally, within the last 24 hours) and don't want to miss my window to feather sex them if it's possible!
