spitzhauben showing horns

Panic....Can female spitzhauben have the "horns" on their crown? She is my son's pet and is supposed to be a pullet (can't have roosters in city). She came from Meyer Hatchery to someone else and then I purchased her, so age is not exact but around 9 weeks. Now these 2 horns have appeared on her head. Any info from Spitzhauben experts appreciated.

We'd need a photo to tell you if it's male or female. As I'm sure you know, hens have crests too, and at 9 weeks all females should be showing something, generally speaking, as well as all males.
