Splash Austarlorp Pullet or Roo?

This is our first Australorp and I'm unsure of gender. Having searched the forums for answers... I'm still confused

Approx 16-18 weeks old ??

That's a cockerel. Large red comb and wattles, as well as male specific feathering.

definitely a cockerel. I bought a blue Australorp that looked just like that he was a he. neighbor dogs ate him at 8 months old.  that was hard they are very pretty birds. my cockerel's name was phoenix. good luck on that very pretty bird.

It happens a lot to people, they order pullets and end up with some cockerels.
