technically, splash are all "blue splash" even though some of the daubs of color may look blackish. the splash "color" is a dilution of the blue color...

you will need to consult someone else about the genetic percentages...

but i belive if you are breeding blue to blue, you will get 50% blue, 25 % black, and 25% splash (blue does not breed true)

splash to splash should result in 100% splash...

your splashes may come from splash parents, making them second generation splashes, or they may come from black x blue, black x splash, blue x blue, etc.

***please correct me if i am wrong the splash genetics...

I thought it was 25%, but just needed someone to reassure me. Thank you. What breeds of chickens can you breed into a splash, other than feather foots?

i believe you can breed a lot of things... any kind that has a black and a white solid color.

orpingtons, wyandottes, true ameraucanas, etc.
