Splash Marans 5 months old

I’m not sure on exact age but thinking five months. The person I got them from said his started laying, these have not. The splash is really changing in the last week… we are hearing a noise every evening and then all go to the pen. Is the splash a cockerel!? Those wattles are growing like crazy compared to the blue marans.

My pullets got super loud and chatty when they got close to laying eggs so unless you're hearing crowing, I wouldn't use that as a gender tell.

Wow! I’ve only had the one? But he was 12 weeks old
