Splash Orpingtons. Who has them? Where can I get some?

Painted Meadows,
Take a look at the pic under Korfus Kluckers name. That is a Splash Roo. I have been reading the posts on here and quite a few of the members posting here in this thread have hatched splashes from her eggs.
She has a website that I have been looking at too. She has some Nice birds.

I just checked an email from her and she is in Washington, I don't know about shipping to Canada, but It shouldn't be a problem for eggs.

Very cool!!! I am in far northern Alberta but might still work. I was admiring her birds but it says she doesn't have any for sale right now. Spring is probably better here anyways. I'll have to email her! Thanks for taking time to source that out for me. I really appreciate it!!

There is a National in Canada I have been throwing around going to. I have some friends going up if I dont. I will have the NPIP paper work so they can take them.
Canada APA Nationals: November 1,2
Abbotsford Fairgrounds

If we could meet there I could get you some, if you want

I could hatch you out some chicks and take juveniles up there.

Aww, thank you so much for the offer but that is a LONG ways from me. 2 full days of driving one way and winter is pretty bad up here. I just can't make it. I really appreciate the offer though. Can you ship eggs to Canada? Next year would probably be better for me here anyways. Love your chickens though, thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your site.

I'm not sure if November is a good time to hatch and raise chicks here. This will be our first time hatching. Our winter temps get into -40c regularly with alot of snow. We are close to Alaska and the Yukon. Would that be a problem? I guess they would have to live inside for quite a while. Hmmm. Do any of you hatch out chicks in winters that cold? Or is it better to wait until next spring?

We get cold weather here too. I have a barn for the chicks to brood in the winter. It is insulated and the heat lamps keep it 90 degrees F. I have to hatch threw the winter to have show prospects for the fall. Most people dont like to hassle with winter keeping, but it doesnt bother me much.
