Splash? What is that?

I am still trying to figure out if the red on him is acceptable on splash coloring.....

I don't know if splash is a recognized color for any breed of bird, if someone out there has a Standard of Perfection let me know.

Red would not be allowed in my mind though as it would indicate unpure blue birds.​

What is the opposite of splash called, a dark color with lighter markings on it? Is it still a splash?

I have a Calico silkie rooster. He has black, brown, reddish brown, and silver coloring.

I think dark birds with lighter markings are mottled, are they not? I know that's for black and white, but I'm not sure about the rest.
