Splash Laced Red Wyandotte - almost 6 weeks. Is it too early to predict sex? Comb redness began a few weeks ago, wattle began forming at 5 weeks. Very chill chick.

I have a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte that is the same age and their comb does not look like this.

Chicks purchased from Mt. Healthy Hatchery

Bummer! I don’t know why I have been just assuming female even with all the red appearing. She/he was supposed to be a sexed pullet.

Sexing isn't 100% accurate and its very common to get a male instead of a female. One time I ordered 7 pullets and 2 were males, so that shows its not always accurate. I'm so sorry it ended up being a he!
