Splash x splash = what?

If both are splash then yes, you only get splash and if both are mottled then you should get mottled babies

Either way they are beautiful birds.

Here's the chick I just got a few weeks ago. He looks like a splash to me, do you agree? He is so pretty I'd like to try to get some babies that would look just like him. Do I buy a splash hen?

Also, do you think he is a hen or roo? (I say roo)...

That does not appear to be splash to me...

What is it supposed to be? Most breeds that are black start out with some white (although ordinarily not that much) so maybe it is a Black Polish or White-capped Black Polish?

Nooo....definitely not a splash. Sometimes you get very dark blue in a splash that looks almost black, but the patterning on that little fellas wings is not splashing.

Looks like it may be a silver laced crossed with another color of some sort. Hard to tell until it get's a little older.

Your bird is either a silver laced or a black crested white polish. Most likely the silver laced. I have had black crested white and they had much more silver on their bodies.

Hi!
He is probably a 'poorly laced' silver laced.
I have a pullet here that matches him (she is from a project to see how long it would take / if I could get the lacing back after crossing silver laced Polish hen to blue Silkie roo). My little girl has extra toes, tho.

Oh, I'd be glad for you to have this little girl here if you wanted to make more.

Does he have a V comb? Carniverous nose? (not sure about Polishes but I know they do have V combs but not the huge nose holes LOL)

Just a WILD guess.....maybe Spitzhauben? poorly marked that is, if that is the case. Had a few Spitz that looks like that.

I have to agree it looks more like a roo because of the length of top hat.
