Splay Leg and Reintegration

One of our 3-4 day old babies was missing this morning. I figured she died and mom buried her in the straw. I found her a few hours later-head sticking out of the straw--cold and damp. Brought her in and found splay leg on one leg. Warmed her up in my shirt and made splints. Set up a baby hospital in the house. She's happy and can stand. Sometimes she gets rather noisy unless I pick her up and put her under my hair so I know she's missing her mama a siblings. My question is when to integrate her back to her mom and siblings. Will her mom take her back or do I slip her under the broody hen, who REALLY wants to be a mamma and it sitting on two 24-day eggs? Side note: We're hoping for a late hatch but are removing in 2-3 days as the water test showed possible viability.

Can you post some photos of the chick, her legs, how she's standing?
If she's wearing splints right now, then I would not put her back until she's healed up, able to walk on her own, eat/drink on her own. I would also get some vitamin B2 into the chick. Crush up 1/4 tablet of B-Complex and add it to her feed.

Whether or not Mom will take her back? Your guess is as good as any.
Giving her to the other broody - again, no way to know if she will be accepted or not.

Update on our little chick. After 4-days and 2-sets of splints (step-down fashion), her leg is 100% recovered and she was running around her little pen like crazy. Placed her under her mama after 10:00 pm last night, when mamma was sleeping. Today she was running around with her siblings and snuggling up to her mama like she’d never been away.

Wonderful news!
