It is about two hours out of the eggs with legs widely splayed. I think its claws got caught on the floor wire in the 'bator and it did a split.

My brain is trying to tell me all about taping legs together but no details lol.

So how do I help this little critter?

If you have vet wrap you can cut 1 inch strip and place the legs in a normal position, and tape them there for at least three days. Bandaids are used in baby chicks. If you can, Google "splay leg chicken," and you should see several good links to read, such as Poultry Pedia Podiatry page.

Also, doesn't pipe-cleaner work? Just put a loop around each leg and then twine them into the right place. This is what I have learned. Is this correct? I hope so, or do you have to use tape?
