Hoping someone can help.
We have a chick that's about a week and a half old. She had a displaced tendon on her hock. We got that back into place right away and had it taped for a few days while her bone grew. The tendon appears to be staying now but the chick has splay leg. We have done the elastic with tubing between and it has been five days. We took it off at 3 days and her leg was still out to the side. She uses her toes and can bend her leg. We put the band back on and I just took it off after two more days....the legs still goes to the side. We tried the method of letting her hang for a few seconds upside down, and she pulls herself up, so we know it isn't her hip out. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so what did you do? She chirps constantly so I'm not sure if she's in pain or not.
Please help!!!!
