I have a hen Who is now 16 weeks old. She has splayed leg and it’s quite severe. I haven’t the heart to cull her, even though I know it’s a responsible thing to do. I have grown quite fond of her and attached. ‘Linda’ is the sweetest thing and has to rely on me to hold her so she can balance and eat/drink. We did all the remedies from rubber bands to sports tape even holding her upside down by legs to try and stretch tendon back in place. My question is....is there a surgical option? Who do I contact and are there sites who will issue a grant to cover cost of surgery. **** I attempted to overdose her with medication and she didn’t blink twice, so I take that as a all from God to help his creature***. Please help I’m new to this site. As you all can see she is beating her wings up badly

:welcomeLinda sounds like a sweet heart! Maybe a wheelchair would help her balance and walk on her own. I think one could be made fairly easy with some pvc pipe and rollers with a sling seat. Some pics of her would help.

It looks more like she has had a slipped tendon, which, like leg boned deformities are not usually successfully treated. Sometimes with deformed leg, an artificial 3D leg can sometimes be attached to help with balance. A wheelchair which can be fashioned at hime might be good, or a chicken sling or chair to get her upright and able to take food on her own. She will require a lot of care for her entire life, so I would consider all options. Here are a couple of sites for ideas:
