splayed leg turkey chicks

I have 3 turkey chicks that when the hatch were fine, put them in the brooder that had paper towel in it they are now about 2 weeks old now, 2 days ago I saw that they legs had splayed so I put a wire mesh bottom in, yesterday I tryed pipe cleaner to pull there legs together. but today I took them off it seamed that they were not getting any food or water, the minute I took them off they ate and drank can any one help or is it to late thanks

I found at birth you can tie the legs together and have great results.
After a couple weeks the issue changes why the legs went like that and fixing them becomes very hard if not impossible.
