Hi,
Our last egg to hatch with our broody hens seemed to have leg issues. She moves but doesn’t stand fully up. This morning I noticed mom wasn’t helping her at all and then pecked her twice so I removed her and now she’s in our house in a brooder. I gave her so chicken vitamins in her water which has riboflavin and she’s already 10x better. Should I do anything else or wait a few days? She’s almost 2 days old.
Also should I remove the other chick so she has a companion? We have been giving her lots of attention and now she thinks I’m mama. The other chick is doing great with the hen and is 5 days old.
Pictures are from this morning except the one in the brooder with the rice sock was early tonight so you can see progress. Her name is Lucy but who knows Lucy could be a he
