Up for your consideration is a split lavender juvenile silkie. This youngster was produce from a lavender cock over a black hen and was hatched October 15th from eggs that I purchased from a breeder in New York. If you are interested, I can email photos of the parent stock...they are gorgeous.
This youngster had the partridge "chipmunk" stripes when hatched but the downy feathers did...and still do...have a dark lavender appearance.
Although I cannot be sure of sex, I do believe that this is a cockerel. Each foot is nicely feathered with 5 toes all well spaced.
Edited to add that the top photo is more representative of it's actual color. The bottom photo was taken about a month ago.
