split wing in lavender silkie

Is this split wing, I feel like a couple of my silkies have this, will they pass it on to there offspring?

It's hard to tell if it's an actual split wing (which would mean there is a gap caused by a missing feather and corresponding follicle). It doesn't look like it's carrying the wing very tightly, which could mean it's a slipped wing. Can you take a pic of the bird standing upright with its wings held naturally? If the primary feathers (outer, longer) don't completely fold in beneath the secondary feathers (inner, shorter) then you'll know it's a slipped wing. If the bird is young (under a year) it may need more time to develop its feathering and carriage. How old is the bird? Boy or girl?
