Hey all, I am looking for information and photos of something called split wing. Also, looking for info concerning cause, genetic? From too much line breeding?

It is an autosomal recessive. Any bird that has split wing tells you that both it's parent carry the split wing gene even if they appear normal. The only way to get rid of it is test mating. Single pen mate suspect birds to split wing birds, production of even one split wing chick mean sthe suspect bird is a carrier and should be culled.

I will post a photo of the cock I have in a day or so and ask what you think. Got to get him situated for a decent picture.
