We have two Khaki drakes, one magpie drake, and one magpie hen. They are about 17 weeks old. We have added two more Khaki hens (I think) that are about 6 weeks. We started separating the hens and drakes at night a few nights ago. However, when we are home we let the whole flock out in a combined run. Should we keep the two groups separated even when they are out in the open run? Will keeping them separate at night and letting whole flock together for a copy of hours cause issues? We do not seem to be have the mating and fight issues that had started to develop and hence the reason we opted to separate them at night when they are out in the "big run" area. Granted, that might change and we may have to separate them entirely....???
