splitting my girls up

Hi it's nikki
My girls r getting to big for their brooder and the coop won't be done for a week, is OK to separate them into a second brooded for a few hours a day to have more room? This is my first post and hopefully it will work, thanks

Hi Niki and welcome to BYC - glad to have you onboard.

Its fine to separate them for a few hours each day, as long as they have access to food, water and warmth.

Nice to meet you Niki. There is generally a high volume of posts to answer - most of the greeters work/attend college etc. etc. they come on when they are able. Others are full time farmers and have to "tend their own gardens," first. Emergency posts tend to get priority. Welcome to Backyard chickens.
