Spoke to Elanco regarding Elector PSP

I know how you feel. We've been battling red mites, NFMites, and scaly leg mites. The coop, nesting boxes, and roosting poles. We sprayed the Neem Oil mix all over in there and it would kill the ones in the open. But they would be all over the sprayed surfaces the next night. I finally convinced my aunt to tak0le replace the roosts...and when we lifted the pole ends out of the mounts, the mites started literally POURING out both ends. They were in screw holes, cracks and crevice gaps between boards. Really disgusting. We made sure to paint the new roosts with several coats of paint and built new nest boxes which we will be lacquering to seal off any cracks in the wood.

I followed all the directions for spraying the premises and the chickens and I think I have more mites than less…and I am exhausted 😥

I know it's only been about a week since you posted, but have you seen any reduction in mites yet? I noticed a lot more after spraying with Elector PSP too.

I was hoping the Elector PSP was just making the mites more active before they gave up the ghost, but no, I still have the same problem I started with. It is exhausting and expensive. I had a dream the other night that I solved the problem with a match.

Any updates on this? I'm battling mites too and have Elector PSP on the way but I've never used it before. Reading that you got more mites after using it is concerning to me.

Update: I have had more success ridding my chickens of lice and mites by dipping my chickens for a few minutes in a bath of warm water and Neem Oil 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of water and a drop of soap to help the oil mix with the water) than Elector PSP, which has never been tested as a dip. So there are no instructions or measurements for using it as a dip rather than a spray. The Neem Oil worked the first time on the lice. It's been months and haven't had to retreat.
Do you need to discard their eggs for any period of time?
