Sporadic or fluke

One of my hens laid an egg Sunday morning and haven't seen an egg since. She's 18 weeks this week. Is that a fluke egg or could she be laying every 3 days? I'm bummed. However today I think my other hen laid its smaller and darker. I just looked anyway but still a ill confusing

That's a fairly normal pattern for a first times. It will take about 2-3 weeks for her to get on a regular schedule.

Yes, it's common for laying to be a bit erratic in the beginning. The beginning and end of a lay cycle is also when you are more likely to find double-yolkers.

She didn't lay today so I guess she'll lay tomorrow.
