My little Hopper is definitely the favorite of my 22 hens and her back was looking pretty raggedy. I bought a saddle/apron to try and I am more than impressed! It is so durable and she has responded well to it, not to mention she is looking pretty adorable, too! Just thought I would share since this is the first time I have ever had to purchase one of these to keep one of my gals safe and protected from further damage.

Oh, she is very cute! I tried one on my girl once, but she freaked out, ran all over and believe it or not, she would run to the rooster (I guess she wanted him to save her from the dress) and scare the crap out of him. He would run away making his honking noise afraid of her! Except for laying eggs she couldn't handle it. I had to take it off of her! I'm really glad your hen permits it!

Tina, where did you get your saddle? I have 2 girls that need one. Possibly a third. The boys got pedicures but I think I may take the dogs Dremel out there tonight and really round off the tips of their nails.
