Sportsman Plucker

Just wanted to see if anyone has used this plucker and how you feel about it. Home Depot has it $100 off so i thought i might give it a try for cornish cross
i doubt it would do bigger birds but maybe ok for chicken any thoughts ? There really isnt much out there to choose from pretty much everything is sold out

It doesn't look like a big enough motor.
It has a 3/4hp motor
My yardbird has 1 1/2 hp motor

My plucker is 1HP and it works for turkeys up to around 30 or 40lbs. I bet 3/4HP could handle most pretty well. But I thought the sportsmans have different models up to 1.5HP so I guess it depends on which model you are looking at. From the pictures I looked up to refresh my memory, it looks like it might be a little unstable on the base, which you could fix easily. And it also looks like it doesn't have a very good finger density, I would want more fingers in it, but if it's a good deal and your only option, it could work. I've used several "value" pluckers and they all seem to work ok. They are pretty simple machines. Just make sure it's direct drive and not belt driven.
