Sourland, thanks for the correction;). So far they get in the trees at night. We are hoping to move to NC. If and when, plan on catching these boys and take them with us and et some hens and raising for the fun and eggs. I'm sure I will have many, many more questions at that time.
 
Fowl pox is like chicken pox. It will start out with little white or black looking spots. Nothing really to do, just let it run it's course and then they will be immune to it.

Give them lots of extra protein, so that if they do have it, they will have a much easier time of getting rid of it. Scrambled eggs, peanut butter, vitamins and electrolytes.

If you have some pictures, we could give you a lot better advice.
 
I think my hens have the same thing... I doesn't look like scabs/pecking problems. Just making sure it's not something else.
