Spots on face?

Just noticed these spots on one of my hen’s face just now. We are located in Northern California and recently had lots of rain. Could it be mold? Or does it signify something more serious? TIA

That is fowl pox, a virus carried by mosquitoes. It lasts several weeks, but most chickens recover.

There is a vaccine available for chickens that have not been exposed. The ones who get pox are usually immune to their particular strain in the future. Here is some reading about fowl pox:

The one with the scab on the ear looks a little different. Is there any injury or ear infection?

No injury or infection. Most of their spots have improved and they all appear healthy.
