Spraddle leg?

This is Chive. She hatched Thursday afternoon, and seemed a bit wobbly, but it’s gotten worse. Should I treat it, or is it mild enough it might resolve on its own? I plan on picking up some Vetrap just in case.

Intervene ASAP. The sooner the chick's legs are held in the correct position, the more likely it will be a success and the chick will walk normally.

That’s good, because I went ahead and braced her, lol. Here she is! She flipped over a few times before she got the hang of it, but she’s doing well.

Good job! She likely will not need that on for long. Chicks grow fast so watch the binding closely that it does not become to tight and cut circulation.

I plan on checking progress and changing it daily until she’s walking properly!

What works for me- keep them up right. (this may mean yo keep them with you at all times while healing.) Put them in a pen with younger than them chicks.

What do you guys do at night? She’s flipped over a few times and can’t right herself on her own.

Update! I think I will brace for one more day just to be safe, but she’s doing great!
