Spradle leg and curled toes

Its not working

, instead of the legs going under him, its going behind him, he cant move. I had seperated him and now that i put him back with the others, they start pecking at him. What should i do??

If they still peck at him after you make him a chair or something to help him, separate him... maybe put one or two friends in there that don't peck him. How old are they again? Just hatched... make sure that they are warm too.

I used a small clear plastic container to put my chick in. Kept it safe from pecking and also allowed
it to see the others andstay warm .
Good Luck.
I had one success and one failure.but the failure had other problems as well.

Both spraddle leg (disintegration/malformation of hip socket) and curled toes are a factor from incubation temperatures being too high. Slippery surfaces after hatching will also damage a just hatched chick's joints. Spraddle leg could also be genetic. Please don't try to breed from the birds you select to keep from this hatch.
