spreading infection?

I recently took in 5 hens, and found out yesterday that they not only have lice, but respiratory infections as well. I took them in on Monday night last week (almost a week ago) Do my chickens catch this infection immediately? OR can I get rid of the hens and ensure the health of my old flock? I know that the lice is on them all now (unfortunately)!

So you didn't quarantine them? No way to know for sure if your others picked up something, but you need to get them separated ASAP, then cull the new ones, and watch yours for symptoms. Treat for lice, certainly.
