1 Barred Rock - Willow
1 Black Australorp - Chicky
1 Salmon Faverolles - Zimby
1 Golden Campine - Piney
1 Norwegian Jearhon - Olga
1 Naked Neck - Lolly
2 Easter Eggers - Pip & Squeak

Second group from TSC on Feb. 28th
2 Easter Eggers - Zippy & Peanutbutter

Third group from TSC on March 2nd
1 Rhode Island Red - Red
1 Red Sex Lind - Mary Jo
1 Tetratint - Tetra

And the last group is to be shipped March 16th
6 Feather Footed Bantams!!

I got 6 Coronation Sussex, 2 Lavender orps and 1 Split/Lavender orp. then i got 6 Hatchery Jersey Giants form TSC. (For my Little Brother).

I think we are getting some Wellsummers from TSC also. (Just for the eggs to eat.)

I'm expecting quite a few fuzzies in my brooder now. I've ordered about a dozen silkies (white, blue and black) and have some beautiful pidgeons (satinettes, FF'd pouters, homers, and capuchins) on the way for later this month too.

Went this morning to the local feed store and got 8 assorted S/R bantams:

2 silver laced sebrights
2 mottled japs
2 porcelain d'uccles
1 dark cornish (I hope)
1 Mystery chick - Major red/ minor blue has two back stripes and a mottled head, clean-legged orange feet/beak - clueless but excited for this little guy.

Came home, put them in the brooder and went out to check Silkie mama with her four chooks, turned the dozen in the bator (two days til lockdown!), and checked for "contraband" eggs under our expecting broody BO on her clutch of a dozen or so, since everyone likes to try and lay in her box.

Now, I'm not really familiar with broody hens, but I'm under the impression they need to be separated from other broodies. I don't think the babies will be safe from the flock with BO mama if she remains unisolated. My Gma thinks that she'll be fine if I put her in with the silkie mama and her four, but the last thing I want is them fighting over the babies and injuring everyone involved. Anyone have any insight?

Our first flock ever of 16 came in on Wednesday from Meyers.

Some are pretty calm, though. If neither of the hens are disturbed by you coming near them / touching them, then I would say that you could give it a shot.
