Spring 2017 first timers post!

Got some more progress done on the run. Roof went on, framing almost complete, and hardware cloth starting to go on. Also, the chicks are getting so big. They are now starting to grow some wing feathers and it looks like they are starting to grow tail feathers. They will be a week old on Monday. When should I start giving them some grit and sod? Also, what about treats such as worms and black flies?

My girls are growing up! They are finally roosting (instead of huddling in the corner together lol)

1 month until I get my chickies! I guess I should start to really work on that coop

Well, our first set of 8 gold sex links (the golden girls) were relocated to their forever home in the middle of 100 acres today. Also gave away our black australorp cockerel. I'm kinda worried for their longterm survival in their new homes, frankly.

Now we are left with just the birds we want to keep plus one pretty blue wyandotte cockerel that we still need a country home for.

Two months old. Getting closer to the egg laying! Can't wait! Lol

My chickens are chicken. Put ramps from the brooder to main coop and they will have nothing to do with it.
