I can only share what my experience has been.
I have one gander that I raised from a gosling
who was very tame until he reached breeding age.
He will come after me and bite me if I'm not careful
but since I've used the grab and hug method on him several times
he now backs off if I walk toward him.
Then some of my ganders just hiss at me and don't attempt to bite me.
I suppose some breeds might have tendencies to be more aggressive
but I only have experience with Sebastopols.
