Spring Chicks Establisjing Their Pecking Order

All these chicks hatched betweenarch 15 and April 28th. During the day they free range with the rest of the flock. Every once in awhile a hen gives one a peck, yet they let the little ones take the watermelon, or the organic nut &,seed bread I buy for treats. Really I just get a kick out of watching my spoiled birds grab a piece of bread, then run like a broken field runner going to the goal line. Tonight they all went in and choose their roosting spots and I guess their order.T
