Now that spring is here (or at least the snow has all melted), what are your annual cleaning chores for your coop and run? We are thinking of the following:
Coop:
o remove all hay and pine shavings and clean down to the bare wood with ammonia (scraper, grinder and/or sand paper)
o remove all spider webs and dust
o remove windows for better ventilation
o make any necessary repairs
o unhook and remove wiring for heated waterer
Run:
o bring in another load of bark mulch
o re-level run (fill existing holes made by chicks)
o remove overhead tarp (better ventilation - run is in a shady place)
o check for any wear or openings in the fencing
What else should we be doing? Thanks for your suggestions...
