It was nice enough out today that the broodiest of all little hens made an appearance without being forced. It was only a brief outing, but at least she got some sunlight, a bath, and a few worms before returning to her nest. It appears that she may have, in a fit of tiny broody fury, bit her sister’s face a few days ago. Either that, or someone’s just clumsy. Doing my best to keep the injured girl’s cut clean as it heals, which is not so easy when there’s mud everywhere!

Daphne was in extra fine form today. She continues to lay without issues. *crosses fingers*

The last photo is of one of my cats, who clearly posed no threat to the ducks as she took a snooze in the sun.
