Spring is here!!!

At least in my book.

I've had all the ladies I have now for 2 and 3 years.

One of my elders has now laid 2 eggs in the past 3 days.

They NEVER lay unless the cold snap is gone, so IMO, SPRING IS HERE!!!!

Just had to share, I'm in OK, BTW.

I have daffodils and lillies peeking their first sprouts through the ground !!!!

Man oh man how i wish i could see tulips and daffodils in my yard

ohhh its gonna be in the - temps for the rest of the week then warm up for the weekend. I was having a bad case of spring fever last saturday when it got to be 46. Short lived for sure, here you can have 50 degrees one day and -50 the next darn near.

My daffodil foliage is 4 or 5 inches tall the christmas roses( helloborus) are blooming too. I see all kinds of winter hardy plants poking their heads up for a look see. It is encouraging for sure but tomorrow nite is suppose to be 19. Come on Spring. I am so ready already.! I want the top soil to thaw so i can dig again. OHHH if I close my eyes I can almost smell the earth. Jean

Lucky you! We're supposed to have a bad snowstorm here today, maybe 4 to 6 inches. I'm in a colder area but not as cold as many of the other folks on the forum, so 4 to 6 inches is considered bad. Yuck! Enjoy your Spring! Genie

Well we were 80 two days ago here. Mind you no spring flowers blooming around here. Just brown brown and dusty dusty everywhere. Haven't seen rain in ages. Than again, when it does finally come we will wash away bad. Our stock tanks are the lowest I have ever seen. I have even ridden across the swamp in the pasture because it dried up! I have fed more hay and even having to feed the cattle to keep weight up on them. Poor baby calves that were born this winter are going to be shocked to see green grass. Never have in their short life so far! We don't have the excuse of snow for them to play in. Send us some rain!

I want my flowers to start coming up!

It's snowing so badly that visibility was extremely poor on the way into work this morning.... oh how I long for spring.

Do you think you could send some of that my way... maybe enough to melt off the 3 ft of snow I still have on the ground....lol

This time of year, my Spring only comes in the form of seed catalogs... sigh. It's +2 right now. But hey, the sun is shining!
