One knows that spring is here as the local feed store and Tractor supply now have baby chicks in. The hens are loving the weather here in upstate N.Y. they are busy outside doing what chickens do best. Scratching here and there looking for bugs and new growth of grass. They love fresh grass. They all go in when it gets dusk and its time to shut the door. The rooster is always alert for anything unusual, whether it be a Hawk or any animals around that aren't supposed to be there.
