I've got LOTS of new chicks for this year!

These are the Production Easter Eggers (a breeding project in progress) we hatched out earlier this month. About half of them hatched at our local County Fair as a hatching display, the remainder back at the house.

These are the Midget White and Standard Bronze turkey poults we hatched out this last weekend. Fifty five of them all told. I don't have a good photo of them in their brooder yet.

I wasn't happy with the Barred Rock and Easter Egger roos I butchered, so I decided to give these guys a try. And I don't know what breed(s) he is, I saw him running around Key West Florida and found out that he's a camera ham :) There are lots of feral chickens running around there.

These are our new chicks... first time for us and a whole big adventure. Having a great time! 3 Buff Orpingtons, 2 EEs. I'm waiting for the weeks to go by to see if one of the EEs is a roo. We tried for girls, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. We got them from a locally owned feed store on 4/6.

Day 1:

Puppy pile nap time:

3.5 weeks (yesterday) and nearly naptime:

Three weeks today I think RR may be 2 days younger.

Yep, ours are three weeks too :) We have a Black Australorp that seems to be a few days behind the others on everything, size, development of tail feathers, etc.

Here are mine ..Also 3 & 4 weeks old.thye grow fast!!!
I like them better now even crazy looking as their personalites are coming out.
The Barred Rocks are REALLY friendly and nosey and the Light Brahmas are fairly friendly too. The EE are scaredy cats and the Buff Orps are inbetween mostly afraid but once and a while noseiness gets the better of them.TheLight Brahmas below are 1/2 yellow fuzz 1/2 white feathers ...funny
