I'm still waiting for two clutches of eggs to hatch; they'll probably be hatched by two or three weeks.

I got a variety so I can see which breeds I like and don't like so when I order a larger order, I will know these breeds a little better and which do well here in our weather.

All the pictures are so cute! My chicks hatched on 03/16/12 and will be 8 weeks old on Friday! We hatched 32 but keeping only 12 layers....

Two of my chicks that hatched over the weekend. One is a purebred Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, the other (nearer the front) is a EE mixed with BLRW. There were my only two survivors outs of 6 eggs. I'm just glad these two have made it!

More Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chicks! These are 2 and a half weeks old now! They eat like its never coming back again!!! I had to put a wire grate over the top because I kept finding them perched on the egg of the brooder where they'd flown up! I don't wanna have to chase a chick around my house....again (I've had other chicks get out!)

I went to get French Black Marans but was talked into taking this sweet little Silkie ALSO. 4 days old and I couldn't resist a photo shoot in a tea cup. He/She has a daddy that was a beautiful frizzle. Fingers crossed for a pretty frizzle pullet. This is my first silkie.
