springtime post your new chick pics

A lot of these pictures look professionally done. Beautiful. My pictures are usually of them running the other way. There is something about a camera that makes them head out!. Anyway... meet a three day old Spitzhauben.

Awesome! I have 7 Spitzhaubens, they are 8 weeks old. I missed all the fluffy cuteness...they were already feathered out when I got them. I'm impatient to see how they turn out.

A local elementary school teacher bought hatching eggs from us, then couldn't place the babies so they came back here. These are all mutts (Leghorn, RSL, and Wyandotte mamas and Rhode Island Red or EE papa) but it will be fun to see what they turn into. Our eggs are almost always sold for eating, so these are the first Red Wicket babies I've seen. I am trying to get more self-sufficient, so I ordered some Cornish this spring. Hopefully they'll be good mamas and we'll have more home-bred hens around.

Took the chicks outside today, it was fun watching them chase bugs and argue over treasures found.

Can anyone take a guess at how old they are? We were told about 2 weeks, but I was thinking maybe older?

Do not know how old they are BUT this chick has the most beautiful face - must be a girl

I gave up after watching them for hours trying to see whos a little bit diffrerent!! I DO give up But feel BAD!!! Maybe when they get older????HOPE SO!
ok here is what I would do. get some majic markers. chose a color and write it down .chose a chick to name and get to marking.
keepup with the markings it wears off in a short time..(on the legs). I only have four, 2 different and 2 alike. only had to mark one.. good luck
