Something like this? Spur on the right was dremeled long ago (way too dangerous a method imo).
The spurs would lock together (we think) when he'd roost. He'd fall off the roost when sleeping. We'd hear a THUMP over the monitor some nights, and there was the roo in the wood chips on the floor. We were treating him for bumble foot and had him in every night to change the dressing and soak the foot. We didn't want to give him more grief so Cass used a triangular file to little, by little, remove the `overgrowth'. No more falls from the roost.
