I just joined this fourm , there are so many answers here but now I have a question.
My girls are 1 year old and consist of 4 RIRs, 2 Buff Orfingtons, and 2 Barred Rocks. One of the BRs has spurs on her legs!! Is this normal? She IS the boss, but growing spurs?? She never fights or jumps on the backs of the others , never seems aggressive. So does anyone know why?? None of the others have spurs just her.
Thanks for the help!

:/Thanks for the replies!! She lays eggs!!! doesn't look a bit different from her sister BR! Just wondering why she would have the spurs Maybe someone will know.

Lot of my gamehen have spurs, some as long as roosters, doesn't mean anything, just some carry the genes for spurs.

I have an old hen that's had spurs all her life. She acts normal and even lays an egg sometimes at her advanced age.
