Spurs, should I cut them off??

Use a Dremel tool with a cut-off blade. It cauterizes the end of the spur and it will not grow back. There is no bleeding this way. Be sure to wear eye protection if you do. The blade can break and at 25,000 rpm and do serious injury.

I have BLRWs that are 21 weeks and are barely showing a bump?? I have never had roos show spurs that young??

Spur removal is very normal and done for several reason:

1. Hen treading.
2. Tie-cords.
3. Humans.

What mitchell said is basic: 'Use a Dremel tool with a cut-off blade. It cauterizes the end of the spur and it will not grow back. There is no bleeding this way. Be sure to wear eye protection if you do. The blade can break and at 25,000 rpm and do serious injury.'
