So, I wondered how much square foot per duck do you need for free ranging?
When I look at how much square footage you need for ducks and chickens, it looks like these people quoting stuff aren't talking about 'free ranging' included. So I thought I'd bring it up here.
Ideally, I'm hoping our backyard is big enough to reduce the grocery budget a lot, not so much because of need, but because of the idea of being practical and efficient. And do you reduce that figure further if there's less fertility in the soil? And I'm guessing if you are free ranging your yard, it would kill the effectiveness of free ranging if you are mowing the lawn with your machine mowers instead of your duck mowers?
