Squash Vine Borers. Dang!

Foil has not worked in my experience. I'm so frustrated with SVB, I don't even plant squash anymore. Tatume Squash s supposed to be resistant because it makes new roots at each nodule, but you'd need an enormous area for it to grow. I'm hoping to give Tatume a try next spring.

My plant recovered from surgery and continues to produce. I harvest an 8-10" squash every other day. It is beginning to look ratty though, and we are about a week or two from frost. So I'm not going to stress over curative treatments on its powdery mildew. That's a fight I couldn't win.
