Our 2-week-old cochin pullet doesn't sound like the other 8 chicks in our brooder. They all peep and cheep normally, but the last couple of days I've noticed that she sounds like a rusty screen door hinge. As far as I can tell, she's been eating and drinking OK, and she seems active enough, but she spends a lot of time under the heat lamp. I think she may be breathing more rapidly than normal, but I'm not sure because we don't have any others as young as she is to compare her to. Could she be sick, and if so what can we do to help her?
