I have a pekin who makes a very distinct QUACK. I know she's a girl. But my other pekin makes this noise.

I thought it was a male until my mallard has finally started making the raspy male sound I keep seeing everyone talking about with boys. Then I heard that pekin quack a time or two, if it gets excited like when I pick it up. But it has only done it a couple of times and any other time I have only heard this loud squeal. It is VERY chatty and starts making this sound as soon as it sees me (sounds like it is complaining or fussing me out over something so I always make excuses for what I imagine it is complaining about to have something to say back lol). It is the dominate one out of the 3 though which made me lean towards male.

So is this a male or female sound? I'd like to know if I have a Daisy and Donald or a Daisy and Lily :P It's about 8 weeks old.

Sounds like a girl. Anything other than that raspy quack is most likely a girl. Boy ducks don't do much vocalization other than their raspy quack. Girl ducks have to have various sounds to communicate to their babies and mates.
