Squinty eye

I have a baby chick (5 days old) that is squinting one eye. The eye doesn't look damaged at all. I do have a fan blowing on their brooder - I am in Texas and its 100+ in my garage. I moved the fan so that they are no longer in the breeze from it.

Should I put something on the eye?

You could gently wipe it with a warm wash cloth or q-tip. Maybe the fan blew a little piece of shaving in its eye...
