My 19 week old Buff Opington sp. tried to lay her first egg yesterday and was pushing and pushing and after checking on her a bit later there was no egg. I later saw her outside with a red bulbous "thing" at her vent. I was unsure what it was but this morning after examining her it appears to be an egg in a thin red sack. She is now dripping but the sack is still half way out. Help, What to do other than take her to the vets. I read that a warm bath might help and calcium. Thoughts?
