This Saturday June 16, 2018 I will be running a couple of displays that may be of interest to some. First deals with chickens where emphasis will be on their behavior and biology rather than the typical how you eat them. Birds will be interacting with audience. Four adults, six juveniles and about 15 chicks will be presented. The two adult roosters are Tookey the bait bird and Stanley the Mr. Mom. The remaining two adults are Sallie the pick pocket with brood of seven 2 week old chicks and Elle the abuser of her handler with her eight newly hatched fuzz balls. The juveniles are represented by an American Dominique, three little T's that have not respect for me, and two little Edgar's that are plotting to steal my meal worm stash. This will be the first time I have attempted to do something like this in such a structured manner so my efforts may prove entertaining in their own right. Second display will involve aquatic critters few have seen or touched, but are otherwise rather common.

Normally, we would be outdoors in the Grow Exhibit but to control stress we will be in the science area which aligns better with what is presented.

I will not have time to film anything as will be too occupied. Two students will be in tow that need to be trained on the job to do their parts. One I have yet to even meet. If I goof up, having it filmed may not be good. My birds clearly want to make a fool of me at times.
Oh come on...have one student film some of it for us.
We are dying to know/see what you do!

We promise not to laugh in case something doesn't go as planned.
